It's been FOUR years!
I just received an email today reminding me that it's been 48 months (FOUR WHOLE YEARS!) since I quit smoking. At this time in 2005 I wanted to shoot people for merely glancing in my direction. Now, I can be around friends that smoke without wanting one at all.Do I still want one sometimes? Yes. I'm not sure that will ever go away.
Does it pass within seconds? Yes, and I'm so grateful for that.
To celebrate my 4 year smoke-free anniversary, I bought an iPhone. Ok, so I was planning on doing that today before I even knew it was my quit smoking anniversary. But now, I have a legitimate reason to tell people about why I wasted $200 on a new phone, right?
Right.
If you're thinking about quitting and worry you won't be able to, just try. I smoked 2 packs a day for years, and I did it. I know you can, too! You just have to be ready and willing to change.
